Moscow Mule

April 19th, 2010

moscow

Hello friends. I have to apologize for last week. My web server had some problems and it took me a week to get back online. I cried. The thought of recreating 6 blogs from scratch- made me hit the bottle.

Moscow Mules are getting hotter because of shows like Mad Men. With all the t.v. I watch for work, I have yet to catch it but I hear it’s awesome. I’m sure to view it now that I can run Netflix live from my Wii.

Anyway, I’m serving you all a big Moscow Mule for the drama I caused this week. It’s a refreshing concoction of vodka, fresh lime juice and ginger beer. It would be a wonderful accompaniment to exotic, ethnic foods like Indian. It’s fun and spunky and so easy to make even a drunkard could do it.

Moscow Mule

1 1/2 oz vodka
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2/3 cup ginger beer, chilled
Garnish: a lime slice

Fill a 12-ounce glass three-fourths full with ice cubes. Add vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer and gently stir.

Wow, this is a classic among my friends! But only because it was one of the first cocktails that I ever made for some party guests and the more we drank of it the more the name morphed into ridiculous variations like… musty mule then eventually camel toe. yeah, we drank a LOT of them. They’re delicious!
